...and mama's a big baby (but less of one this time!).
Our little man had his 4 month check-up today and was a trooper as usual. He's still in the 90-95% of height and weight for babies and his cheeks were in the 200th percentile (actually, they don't measure that....). Guthrie weathered the shots well and mama did a little better than last time- just a small amount of tears, but no extended crying (papa teared up too).
Guthrie has discovered his feet in a really big way recently. As soon as his diaper comes off, the feet go up and sometimes into his mouth. Mmmmmm- foot sandwich (almost as good as meatloaf). Because they're so bulky, Brian and I sometimes feel bad that he's wearing cloth diapers so we like to give him time naked so he can freely yank those feet up and play away!

Big guy!
Guthrie's a big little guy at 4 months old! We're having so much fun with all the new things our toy, I mean, boy can do.... Sitting in one of those squishy chairs (thanks Carrie and Mike for letting us borrow it!) It's good for at least 15 minutes of laughs watching Guthrie observe the world from this new vantage point.

How mama spent some of her birthday money...
What!!??! You bought me something?
Ok- I was in my all-time favorite store- Anthropologie (in which I typically go to just look and possibly cry at it's beauty, but that's a whole different issue)- and I came across this ridiculously cute owl hat and just couldn't pass it up. Of course it was overpriced for a kid's hat, but since I have such generous family members that love to buy Guthrie clothes, I haven't spent too much on that so I thought there could be a splurge for the little fella. Guthrie looks like a total peach in it too.
Mmmmmm....does it taste as good as it looks?
Sweet guy.Just a funny face he made the other day.

Endorsement, dancing and other cuteness
Guthrie said that it's about time that he shows support for his candidate.... His version of reading: chewing the book until completely soggy...
Bri recently sprained his neck and was temporarily out of commission for naked, pre-bath dancing so I stepped in for the meantime. While I don't have quite the moves of the father/son duo, we still managed to have a bangin' time while dancing to some M.I.A.

Dancin' with dad
Guthrie and Brian have a great pre-bath ritual that is just hilarious- naked dancing! (thank goodness only the little man is naked!) Brian cranks up the music, which has been The Shins or Arcade Fire recently, and the two of them go to town. I bet none of those "stars" have moves like that!
Two happy guys.
(I would just like to point out that all pictures were carefully selected to keep this posting pg13!!!)
