The big "blowout" was on Sunday, but I had to travel down to Newberry, SC that Saturday to teach a clay workshop at the local college. Needless to say, I was so thankful for all the help everyone gave to prepare for our Sunday gathering (thanks, again, guys!).
Playing with Addie.
All eyes on Guthrie- the perfect entertainment!
Hanging with Pawpaw.
Check out that hot Mawmaw!
We were so happy that our dear friend Kurt was able to conduct the dedication. I really like the idea of publically committing to raise your child to know Christ, but also the commitment the congregation makes, as well, to support and love your child as he grows. Guthrie was a sweet guy- smiling and "being shy" appropriately. Although, the little rotten egg wouldn't let Kurt hold him.
Being anointed with oil.Poor little guy zonked out at the end of the service.Family, friends and neighbors gathered to celebrate Mr. G, eat some good food and play some cornhole.
Granny Deb holding little Luca, our friends Ryan and Erin's little lady.
Holy moley it's cake.
Needless to say, Guthrie loved the cake. Once he figured out how to tear and grab a handful, he shovelled about half of it in his mouth in one bite! There were some good little helpers to assist in present opening.Trying out one of his new outside toys from Grandma Martha.

What a wonderful celebration! Guthrie, you are one loved little dude!
There are so many things I love here: 1) his hair curls 2) Guthrie's sweet face as he peers down to look at the presents ya'll are opening 3) the crib shot and 4) the way Guthrie's face and body language are changing. Not such a baby anymore!! ;(
Great story of the special day...I feel like I was actually there ;)
Happy Day Mr. G! You're a superstar!
