The princess, bride and Guthrie

Aunt Lauren got married this past weekend, so Guthrie got all gussied up for the event.

The beautiful bride herself....
Cousin Addie was the flower girl, and looked like a total princess...

Sweet little ones.

Pretty blues

Brian likes to let our cats outside here and there because he says that they look pretty in the sunshine. Well, the same is true for this little guy. This picture was taken on mom and dad's screened in porch last weekend. What a beautiful beautiful beautiful, beautiful boy.

Guthrie's special way of reading

Hippo

Not too long ago, I bought this little ride-on hippo for Mr. Man. We've been wanting to have him try it out, but didn't know if he was quite ready. Well, a couple days ago Brian put Guthrie on the hippo and he loved it (Guthrie, well Brian too). He didn't quite know what to do, he mostly spent time spinning the little knobs on the handle and bouncing up and down. Soon he'll be scooting around.

All cheeks and belly:
Ride 'em cowboy!

Oh jeez, the shame....

Growing up it used to drive me nuts to see an entire family at an amusement park dressed all in the same thing (sorry to those of you who do that!). I can appreciate the function of this, but it doesn't help when every other family is dressed in jean shorts and a red t-shirt too.

Anyway, the other day my friend Julie was over for a visit and we were sitting outside on our porch when I realized that it was relatively warm out, so I took off my sweater and the one Guthrie was wearing. All of a sudden Julie stopped mid-sentence, looked at Guthrie propped on my lap, and started laughing. I didn't understand until I looked down and realized that we were dressed exactly the same: green shirt and brown pants (to my credit, my shirt was absolutely not a onesie). Poor little guy has no hope of coolness.

Eight months (and a day, of course)

Happy eight months little buddy! You've grown into such a sweet little bug- squirming and rolling around, and not quite crawling yet. You're super cute when you try to crawl, but get your left leg caught under your butt and then flop forward. It's frustrating for you, but you'll get it soon enough! We love how smiley you are in the morning when you wake up happy and how you reach up and touch our faces so gently. Your all time favorite thing to do right now is to drink from a big kid cup (usually a handmade ceramic one, much to the delight of mama!). We love you big guy!
Get that foot out!
Ha!
Are you guys watching me?
Beep beep!
